Work With one of our coaches

1:1 coaching and leadership development for Black, Latine, and queer leaders — coordinated to a PCC-ICF standard.

Built for the Work You're Actually Doing.

Most coaching is designed for leaders in stable institutions with clear paths to advancement. JOE coaching is built for a different reality — glass-cliff appointments, identity tax, burnout that doesn't resolve with rest, and career crises that the standard leadership industry has no frameworks for.

Our coaching practice is grounded in research, coordinated to a rigorous professional standard, and designed specifically for Black, Latine, and queer leaders navigating the structural dynamics that make this work harder than it needs to be. You do not have to explain the basics here.

Our Coaching Practice

Our Coaching Standards

Every JOE coaching engagement is coordinated by Dr. Byron Green-Calisch, EdD, PCC-ICF — a Professional Certified Coach credentialed by the International Coaching Federation. The PCC credential requires 500+ documented coaching hours, demonstrated mastery of ICF's 8 core competencies, formal performance evaluation by an ICF assessor, and adherence to ICF's code of ethics.

Our coaches are selected for deep alignment with JOE's frameworks — including the Glass Cliff Navigator, leadership durability methodology, and intersectional burnout analysis. All coaches complete JOE's internal training before working with clients.

You will be matched with the coach best suited to your specific situation. Dr. Green-Calisch oversees all coaching engagements and is available for consultation at any point in your program.

Who JOE Coaching Is Built For

This is not general-audience coaching. JOE works specifically with leaders who:

• Are Black, Latine, or queer leaders in civic, nonprofit, or public-sector roles — or corporate leaders navigating identity-specific structural dynamics

• Are in or approaching a glass-cliff appointment — high visibility, thin institutional protection, disproportionate pressure

• Have experienced or are at risk of a layoff, forced exit, or sudden leadership transition

• Are experiencing burnout that doesn't resolve with rest — because the source is structural, not individual

• Know they need to make a move and want to do it with strategy, not desperation

If you are not in any of these situations, JOE coaching may not be the right fit — and we will tell you that in the intake conversation rather than take your investment.

$1,997  total

For leaders who suspect something structural is wrong and need to know exactly what they are dealing with — before making a major move.

Who it's for

You are functioning, but losing altitude. You don't fully trust the environment you are in. You are weighing whether to stay, negotiate, or leave — and you need a clear strategic read before you decide.

What's included

4 coaching sessions over 30 days. Structural risk assessment. Glass-cliff diagnostic. Leadership positioning analysis. You leave with a written exposure audit and a 90-day strategic recommendation.

Risk-Sharing Guarantee

Full refund after 2 sessions if the engagement is not the right fit. No questions.

Payment Plans

2 payments available: $998.50 at booking, $998.50 at session 3. No fees.

The Reclamation

Who it's for

What's included

6 coaching sessions over 6 weeks. Six deliverables: narrative reclamation, identity and values reset, structural risk retrospective, career positioning strategy, market entry plan, and a personal board of directors framework.

Risk-Sharing Guarantee

“I came in thinking I needed a career pivot. What I actually needed was language for what had been done to me — and a strategy to make sure it didn't happen again.”

Common Questions

Do I need to start with a monthly anchor before doing an intensive?

No. You can begin with any program that matches where you are. The intake conversation will help you find the right entry point for your situation.

How will I be matched with a coach?

During your intake conversation, we assess your situation, goals, and the kind of support you need. We then match you with the JOE coach whose background and approach is the strongest fit. Dr. Green-Calisch coordinates all coaching engagements and is available for consultation throughout your program.

How do I know if an intensive is right for me right now?

The clearest signal is urgency. If you are facing a specific situation with a timeline — a job search, a forced exit, a decision that can't wait — an intensive will serve you better than a monthly program. If you want consistent ongoing support, start with an anchor.

Is this coaching or therapy?

Coaching. JOE's coaching practice is coordinated by a PCC-credentialed coach and operates within the International Coaching Federation's ethical and professional standards, which include a clear boundary between coaching and clinical mental health support. JOE coaching can work alongside therapy, but is not a substitute for clinical care.

What does the PCC-ICF credential mean for clients?

The PCC (Professional Certified Coach) credential from the International Coaching Federation requires 500+ documented coaching hours, demonstrated mastery of ICF's 8 core competencies, a formal performance evaluation by an ICF assessor, and adherence to ICF's code of ethics — including confidentiality standards, professional boundaries, and continuing education. It is a globally recognized professional standard, not a certificate course.

Can I pause a monthly anchor if I'm going through something?

Yes. Monthly memberships can be paused for up to 60 days without losing your membership rate or credit bridge status. Just let us know before your next billing date.
