Invest in Florida's

Civic Future.

Your gift sustains the Black, Latine, and queer leaders building the civic infrastructure Florida's democracy depends on, and puts direct, material support into the hands of the neighbors and children who make up the communities they serve.

Why Your Gift Matters

Democracy doesn't sustain itself. It depends on the people sustaining it. In Florida, those people are Black, Latine, and queer civic leaders: organizers, advocates, educators, and changemakers. They are the connective tissue of Florida's civic ecosystem, and they are burning out.

Justice Over Everything builds the leadership infrastructure and civic education systems these leaders need, and puts direct support into the hands of the neighbors and children standing right beside them.

Good People Good Trouble: Gives Back

The material-support arm of GPGT. Where the civic community builds political literacy, Gives Back puts direct support in neighbors' hands: gifts for kids, free coaching for the leaders holding their communities together, and fast, low-barrier grants for the ideas too small for traditional philanthropy.

Seasonal

The Gift Circle

Community-nominated children and families, matched with community-provided gifts. No bureaucracy, no shame, just neighbors showing up for neighbors.

Ongoing

Community Coaching Hours

Free 1:1 coaching sessions for nonprofit and community leaders who need someone in their corner right now, not a full cohort.

Rolling

The Good Trouble Fund

Small, fast grants directly to community members and grassroots efforts: mutual aid, a block event, a first-time organizer's idea.

Other Ways to Give

Corporate matching · Major gifts · Stock & securities · Planned giving · Give your time or skills (sponsor, coach, or refer — not everything is dollars).

If you already have a donor-advised fund at Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable, or a community foundation, use it to recommend a grant to JOE. Your deduction is already claimed, so 100% of your gift reaches our programs.

Other Ways to Give

Not everyone gives the same way. Here are additional options:

Corporate Matching

Many employers match charitable donations. Check with your HR department to double your impact at no extra cost to you.

Major Gifts & Partnerships

Interested in a multi-year partnership, naming opportunity, or investment above $5,000? Reach out directly to discuss how a major gift can shape JOE's programming for years to come.

Gifts of Stock or Securities

We accept transfers of appreciated securities. Contact us for transfer instructions and to maximize your tax benefit.

Planned Giving

Consider including JOE in your estate plan. A planned gift ensures this work continues long after you're gone — and leaves a legacy tied to Florida's civic future.
